| Arlington, TX (Worldwide Gamble) - Chicago White Sox outfielder Jermaine Dye left Saturday's 9-6 loss to the Texas Rangers after being hit with a pitch on his left hand. In the top of the sixth, Luis Mendoza's high pitch hit Dye in the hand, and Dye went down to the ground in pain. He left the contest after a few minutes, and Brent Lillibridge came in as a pinch-runner. X-rays after the game were negative, showing just a bruise. Dye's status for Sunday's series finale has yet to be determined. |
