The nine-year NFL veteran had spent the majority of his career with the Buffalo Bills, and also had stints with Carolina, and Tampa Bay. Price has 269 tackles and 14.5 sacks in 111 career games. Price, 32, was first drafted by Tampa Bay in 1993. He started 2002 with the Bills, but was cut before the season started. San Diego also placed defensive tackle Jamal Williams on the injured reserve. |

Tuthill replaces Wade Richey, who was waived on Monday by the Chargers. Tuthill spent 11 weeks of the 2002 season with the Redskins. He connected on 10-of-16 field goal attempts, including a 53-yarder. Tuthill also made 20- of-21 extra-point attempts for Washington.
